Pay Up Time!
Thats right I had pay for registration on some races. First race is the Mohican 100 June 19 & 20, then the Burning River 100 July 31 & Aug 1. Theirs something about once you pay for a race. "ITS ON" no backing out now! And after a week of only 42 miles, I know I have too get my ass in gear. I will shoot for sub 24hr on both races. It will be hard both races so close together, and in summer heat. Thats why I need to train hard now. I still need to think about some more race's to enter, I like races close to home, keeps cost down right now.

Spring Time?
Yes, it felt like spring on the trail today. Funny how 40F feels like spring. I went out and hit 15 mile's. I ran the hill's hard. The ice and slush mix made for a little slipping off the trail at time's but not too bad.

Snow Running
We got some snow. You really see how much when you have to blaze a path through it. I got to pine lane trail head only a few older track's. So we got more snow on top of those track's which mean's a lot of soft snow. I did 8 mile's in the morning and came back in the afternoon to hammer 5 more mile's. 13 mile's for the day is lower than what I was going for the day. But I got a good work out in the snow!

A Long Weekend
I love long weekend's! You can get so much done. I hit 31 mile's in the 3 day's off. Nice weekend of cold and on and off snow. The good thing about weather like this nobody on the trail's, so I could hammer a little speed work on the hill's. I did see some brave woman over the weekend running the road, on the way to the trail. I am not a treadmill person, so when I people out in the really snow & cold temps., I really feel the groove!

Happy New Year
Another year past! A new year for working on goals. I set out in the snow and ice to knock out 12 miles of hills. The trails had some hard packed snow but was mostly hard ice. It was like running on the roads. I had no problem with traction. The mizuno wave's with screws, are awsome on the ice. You just have too deal with the hard impact of the hard ice. I do love the snow! I will be hitting my goal's hard for this new year. This past year was the start of the pain too come, and I wecome it! So make goal's, work hard and make them come true!! So far I will be racing the Mohican 100 in june and the Burning River 100 in july. I will plan for a few more 100's late summer into fall. It will be a lot of hard work, I like to push speed in a 100 mile run.

A Sick & Cold Week
It's been a long week. My girls came over last weekend sick and got me sick. Had good week of running last week, but this week was poor for running. Cold temps and then sick on top of all I had to take it easy. This week I hope to make up for lost miles.
